Art and Photography are the reason I'm happy to wake up each day! I have been involved in art for my entire life; showing my first piece at the young age of five at the Krasl Art Center in St. Joseph, MI. My passion for art and fashion led me to college to study graphic design. While pursuing my degree, a prerequisite was a photography class. Not owning a camera, my Dad bought me a metal body, fully manual film camera from the 1970's at a pawn shop. That was the start of my passion in life; photography.
I spent the majority of my time during college in the darkroom. Finally ,my professor hired me as the darkroom assistant and I kept the darkroom open until midnight; leaving when the janitor did. Most of my student loan money was spent on photography equipment that I still use to this day.
Prior to opening my own photography studio, I worked as a graphic designer, then as a make-up artist at a photography studio and finally as a portrait photographer.
My portraits have been published in many print magazines including: American Wedding, Southern Pinups, Curve and Shore magazine. I have shown my fine art photography in galleries in the Harbor Shores and Benton Harbor Arts District.
My list of commercial clients includes: Budweiser, Fin Fun Mermaid, American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Toys For Tots, Lakeland Regional Hospital, Southwestern Medical Clinic, Cook Nuclear Plant, Think Office Interiors, Bistro at the Boulevard, San Diego Office Interiors, BigBrain Prodution, St. Joseph Police Department, Free Run Winery, Red Arrow Dentistry, OutCenter, United Federal Credit Union, Chase Bank, Skip's Restuarant, Palis Fruit Farm, Stull Chiropractic...and many others.
